Job Description:
You will serve as an Administrative Officer at CENTER FOR SERVICE SUPPORT. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing daily administrative operations, coordinating correspondence and deadlines, and supporting leadership in executing policies and organizational priorities; 2) Developing administrative procedures, standards, and guidance for non-routine tasks, assigning work to staff, and reviewing performance to ensure quality and compliance; 3) Conducting program reviews and evaluations to assess compliance with laws, policies, and documentation standards, and ensuring effective support of organizational mission requirements; 4) Analyzing workflows, identifying operational inefficiencies, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity, resource utilization, and internal processes; and 5) Utilizing office automation tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, to draft correspondence, develop briefings, track data, and respond to inquiries and reporting requirements. You will research, originate and edit correspondence for review and signature.
You will log and review incoming and outgoing correspondence and directives for compliance with policy and regulation and determine action required and forward to appropriate offices or program areas for action.
You will plan, coordinate and direct all administrative support work for commanding officer ensuring action items are completed as scheduled and ensure compliance with due dates.
You will develop procedures, policies and standards and issue special instructions to the staff for accomplishing work of a non-routine nature and review work performance to ensure it meets standards.
You will develop and draft the necessary plans and standing operating procedures, policies, etc., proposes them to Department Heads and the Executive Officer for implementation, and oversees their implementation.
You will review directives from higher authority and advises the Commanding Officer and executive staff on the potential impact to the organization.
You will direct preparation of manuals, reports, and directives. Update and disseminate the Command recall bill and telephone directory and attend Command/Department Meetings as required.
You will perform all duties, transactions and oversight to Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) for command personnel.
