To qualify for a Kitting Strategic Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-09 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the GS-11 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-11 Identify the need for kits based on information received from both the Customer and Customer Operations Personnel. Provide a comparative analysis and a decision on whether the kit should be assembled organically or commercially to the customer, based upon the analysis of products Develop contract arrangements to satisfy kitting assembly requirements. Conduct analysis and investigation of issues impacting the Kitting Process. GS-09: Coordinate with customer to determine kitting assemblies. Assist with developing contract arrangements to satisfy kitting assembly requirements. Conduct assistance with product analysis when determining assembly of kits. Aid in developing new kitting activities. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Conduct the development for new Kitting activities.
Determine customer requirements for custom kits.
Provide kit project status to customer operations personnel and communicate to customer.
Verify all kit components are valid and obtainable.
Identifies need for kits based on input from customer.
Provide recommendations for Kitting Assembly.
Records analysis and assembly decision within enterprise repository.
Research information sources to determine whether an existing kit is feasible before creating new one.
