Job Description:

You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the MAINTENANCE PLANNING (Code 67) division of the Naval Sea Logistics Center (NAVSEALOGCEN) of NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND (NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA). The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
For the GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing the production, maintenance, configuration, or logistics of equipment for Naval systems. For the GS-9:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing support in the analysis of the production, maintenance, configuration, or logistics of equipment for Naval systems. You will responsible for planning, coordinating, developing, gathering, processing, preparing, and certifying Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
You will receive, process, and resolve PMS Feedback Reports (FBRs)/PMS Service Requests (PSRs) applicable to assigned units or specific equipment for ship and shore equipment maintainers.
You will develop, revise, validate, maintain, and certify PMS documentation in accordance with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) guidelines and standards.
You will conduct on-site visits to equipment sites as required for the purpose of validating adequacy of documents developed or revised by equipment manufacturers, shipbuilders, and contractors.
You will maintain and certify accountability of Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs)/ Equipment Maintenance Plans (EMPs) and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) to applicable systems and equipment.
