Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the EMPLOYEE SERVICES DIVISION (013), COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (01) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Open to applicants at Current UIC 64267 (includes divisions, branches, and sections).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing technical expertise on the analysis, development, and implementation of financial systems and procedures to ensure compliance with current laws, rules, and regulations for the overall management of an organization's financial operations. You will be responsible for the overall management and operations for the Transportation of People, Civilian Pay and Transportation Incentive Program; as well as overseeing civilian pay in the Defense Civilian Payroll System.
You will be responsible for the overall management and operations for time and attendance in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning system; travel in the Defense Travel System and the Government Travel Credit Card.
You will analyze new and proposed legislation or regulations to determine impact on Division operation and make substantive recommendations regarding new or modified procedures.
You will serve as the Financial Improvement Audit Readiness subject matter expert and Management Control Assessable Unit Manager.
You will review Inspector General reports, audit and investigative reports, and similar documents to determine appropriate changes in administrative procedures or corrective actions required.
You will apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to make policy decisions and develop procedures for promoting flexibility, efficiency, and economy in day-to-day operations.
