About the position: This is a NAF position with the 61st Force Support Squadron, located with Marketing on Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, California. This position is considered Flexible. The position is 0 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must have cash handling experience. Must be able to read, write, spell in English and figure basic math and measurements. Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows and MS Office) is required. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs or more, stand for long periods of time, kneel and bend frequently. Must be capable of excessive walking. Good communication skills are desired. Experience with photography using DSLR cameras is desired. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquires (Tier-1 Investigation). Condition(s) of Employment: Satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Works uncommon tour of duty which includes nights, weekends, and Holidays. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls, tending to customers, responding to emails routing and filing correspondence and maintaining electronic and hard files. Performs basic cashier duties. Collects cash receipts, checks, credit card receipts, and other supporting documentation and ensures their proper processing. Prepares and ensures the daily deposit is processed in a timely manner. Prepares cash reports and notifies lead of any suspected irregularities. Ensures the proper processing of charge cards and sales slips before including them in the daily cashier's report. Must correctly input revenues in the system, issue proper receipts and correctly record daily transactions on AF forms 1876 and 1878. Utilizes various software and computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Design Suite programs Utilizes printers, copiers, scanners, folding, cutting and laminating machines. Supports aspects of the squadron's promotion and publicity program and works closely with other department members and supervisors. Assists in proof reading content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, continuity, and consistency. Assists in preparing, producing and distributing marketing materials for squadron activities, programs and functions. Marketing materials may include but are not limited to: magazine booklets, brochures, calendars, flyers, posters, banners, signs and slide presentations. May assist in conducting and tabulating surveys. May assist in planning, coordination and preparation of promotional event booths, giveaways, and games. Attends FSS events and activity functions as needed or directed. May assist with other marketing programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
