Job Description:

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT ARIZONA. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Utilizing military personnel policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain military personnel service records; 2) Researching information in military records and databases to respond to inquiries regarding military human resources issues; 3) Preparing and completing service and health forms for quality assurance; and 4) Reviewing and obtaining forms, documents, data and other related information. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will file personnel records in accordance with policies and procedures.
You will obtain data needed to complete personnel actions
You will coordinate a pre-employment process (e.g., obtain release dates, schedule physicals, drug tests, security checks) to ensure a timely entrance on duty (EOD) date
You will interview personnel to obtain information required to complete records or correct discrepancies.
You will enter human resources information into forms or templates.
