THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MANAGEMENT ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1913000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. TEMPORARY POSITION: DUE TO MOBILIZATION, WILL CONCLUDE UPON RETURN OF SERVICE MEMBER.
Military Grades: E-8 through WO1 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management; knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques; experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months or 1-year at the next lower GS level, specialized experience, education, or training analyzing and interpreting policies and the procedures of higher headquarters/management as to applicability to current policies; experience presenting and discussing complex matters in a clear and convincing manner; experience in communicating with people from various backgrounds and circumstances.
As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0343-09, you will Reviews organizational information regarding inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination fiscal and supply management utilizing inspection reports, applicable Department of Army (DA) regulations, and activity mission statements to identify tentative subobjectives or firm objectives regarding stock record operations. Performs management studies of organization's auditable entity to identify potential problems such as reviewing operating procedures and management practices of the activity. Conducts troubleshooting and management studies to ascertain the need for changes in existing management systems or methods of operation such as work processes, functional responsibility, operating techniques, organizational structure and other factors effecting the efficient and economical use of available resources. Assignments involve several specialized areas of management such as organizational analysis, work methods and standards, procedure analysis, and management statistics. Participates in providing management consulting services on all aspects of improving management operations for the state. Provides liaison assistance, as required, to external organizations with responsibility for coordinating their activities with the USPFO. Accomplishes management studies by applying best business practices and basic audit techniques to gather, document, and summarize data. Prepares management studies which present findings identifying causative situations and recommending corrective action. Responsible for the work of assigned personnel. Performs the supervisory and managerial responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.
