Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens FIND OUT MORE HERE: Teaching Categories and Requirements | DoDEA 0470 HEARING IMPAIRED TEACHER - A major in special education or a minimum of 30 SH in special education is required. Course work should include remedial methods, anatomy of the ear, speech mechanism, methods of auditory training, psychology of the child with disabilities, child development and educational measurement. Sign language proficiency in American Sign Language and/or Signed Exact English is required.
