About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop. This position is a regular, full-time position, minimum weekly guaranteed hours of 35 but may work up to 40 hours per week based on mission requirements. This position offers a full benefit package.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices, including expertise in all aspects of the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline powered automotive engines. Knowledge of cash accountability and the safeguarding of funds. Fundamental knowledge of maintenance and safety procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and identify problems and to be able to brief personnel on safety issues. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge gained through experience which enables employees to independently carry out the daily work load of repairs and inspections through proper application of principles, concepts and techniques.
Manages the operations of the Auto Hobby Shop, which includes a state inspection station and car wash facility. Plans, organizes and directs the work of Automotive Mechanics and workers engaged in automotive repairs. Mechanics may perform repairs ranging from simple to complex, and/or instruct and assist patrons in performing their own repairs. Performs first level supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Maintains call registers and credit card logs for the purchases of goods and services. Receives goods upon delivery, assigns receiving report numbers and submits the appropriate documents. Establishes prices on goods for resale. Prepares financial and capital budgets.
