The work:
Own the design, configuration, and delivery of S/4HANA New Asset Accounting and Project Systems (Capital Investment Projects and Customer Projects) as part of the Finance workstream.
Translate complex business requirements into detailed solution designs and functional specifications that leverage S/4HANA innovations such as Universal Journal, Universal Allocation, Fiori based user experience.
Lead or support client-facing workshops to gather requirements, explain standard capabilities, and finalize detailed design decisions in asset and project accounting
Configure solution areas including:
Chart of Depreciation, Depreciation Areas for Leading and Parallel Ledgers
Asset GL determination, account assignments, and posting logic aligned to Universal Journal
Project Coding Masks, WBS structures, Budgeting, Availability Control, Investment Profiles
Settlement rules for both investment (capital) and billing (customer) projects
Own and manage unit testing and support integration and UAT cycles by resolving functional defects, validating cost flows, and ensuring reporting accuracy.
Prepare and validate data loads using tools like LTMC, LSMW, or Data Migration Cockpit for asset masters, project definitions, and historical values
Contribute to the creation of training materials, testing scripts, and reporting templates, including Fiori tiles and embedded analytics relevant to Assets and Projects.
Ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables while proactively communicating risks, dependencies, and design decisions to the R2R Lead and other project leads
This is a hybrid role in Nashville, TN and will require 3 days per week in the office. May consider qualified applicants in Houston, TX.
