Job Description:

You will serve as a Mechanical Engineer (Additive Manufacturing Expert) in the Advanced Manufacturing and Prototype Engineering Branch (BL41200) of Prototype and Manufacturing Division within the Prototype Manufacturing and Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Executing technical projects on metal and polymer additive manufacturing machines and serving as an additive manufacturing subject matter expert. developing Technical Data Packages, conducting engineering analyses and optimizing additive designs. Reviewing and preparing required documentation for assigned tasks such as letters, messages, technical reports, engineering drawings and other forms of technical documentation Providing technical information, advice and counsel relating to their specialty program and area of expertise and participating in technical conferences, committee meetings and symposia. You will implement and execute all technical aspects of additive manufacturing projects, including operation of machines as needed, development of technical data packages, analysis and optimization of designs for manufacturing.
You will identify mechanical engineering requirements to determine course of action in order to ensure project success.
You will provide technical advice and consultation to other engineers and program managers related to your area of expertise.
You will act as a mentor and provides technical direction for junior engineers/technicians/specialists.
