One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Performing data analysis and evaluation of financial systems, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure the continuity of a financial system's operations; applying automated systems design and processing principles, techniques, policies and regulations to automated financial, and/or accounting systems. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Conducts independent fact finding, studies, and surveys related to a specific module, phase, or work process of a major financial system.
Identifies systems problems and recommends solutions.
Plans, develops, and conducts projects involving operational/system changes caused by legislative, regulatory, or policy changes.
Coordinates with programming staff to establish test schedules, test input/output control, and implementation schedules.
Ensures that government policy and regulations are fully supported in the design and development of assigned financial systems.
