To qualify for an IT Specialist (APPSW), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Application System Administration experience in maintaining application infrastructure ensuring hosted platform remains functional and in compliance. Software design and development skills applied in the preparation and presentation of designs, studies, reports, and briefings. Using programming languages, tools or IDE such as PL/SQL, Structured Query Language (SQL) Developer, VB.net, JAVA Script, ASP.net, Stored procedures, Oracle, Visual Studio, Fortify and Azure DevOps. Advanced interfacing methods used with UNIX, Linux, Windows operating systems, Microsoft IIS and/or Intranet/Internet. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed: 1. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternative, and to make recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. ...implementing and supporting new or existing Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) software.
Serve as Administrator for Azure DevOps on premise as the application lifecycle management tool utilized by the program.
Serve as System Administrator for performing required Operating System (OS) and software updates, upgrades and patching.
Resolves critical issues affecting the configuration of the IT infrastructure.
Review vulnerability scans such as ACAS and mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
Maintain hardware and software asset lists and prepare for end-of-life products.
Preside on application recovery team in cases of outages, participate in annual contingency planning exercises.
Prepares and presents briefings to management on complex/ controversial IT problems and issues.
Ensures that applications and infrastructure are optimized for state-of-the-art technology and functionality.
Coordinates with DLA Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) on suspicious activity as well as on Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) dealing with assigned products.
Serves as primary Government point of contact for outage notifications that include afterhours calls.
Create and submit InfoSpot for outages and attend daily meeting if outages occurs.
Analyze and document user requirements to identify needs, evaluate technical feasibility, suggest alternative approaches, and develop solutions in terms of software design.
Uses a variety of application programming languages, and a wide range/various agency systems to include but not limited to: System Applications and Products (SAP) Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) LANGUAGE, VB.net...

Works with Enterprise Architecture representatives to ensure solution is compatible with architectural policy and directives.
