Job Description:
You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER in the Undersea Weapons, Vehicles and Defensive Systems Department NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
FOR ND-05 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or scientist overseeing and leading projects to support the development and acquisition of an undersea weapon system. FOR THE ND-04 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level ND-03 (GS-9/11 equivalent) pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or scientist supporting the development and acquisition of an undersea weapon system. You will serve as the Technical Project Manager (TPM) for Very Light-Weight Torpedo (VLWT) development and acquisition projects.
You will be responsible for the development of overall project organization and direction.
You will serve as a recognized authority and expert consultant for weapon system development and acquisition projects.
You will support the Defensive Systems Customer Advocate (CA).
You will rely on extensive knowledge and proven ability to manage large, complex, multiyear projects.
