Job Description:
You will serve as a in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/CUSTSP) in the Technology Services Department, Application Support Division and Hosting/NW Division NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER OMN.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Maintaining requirements and techniques to install, configure and troubleshoot Automatic Identification Technology/Radio Frequency Identification (AIT/RFID) equipment in accordance with NAVSUP Business Systems Center Standard Service Process (NSSP) procedures and performance; (2) Implementing technical solutions for products and services based on functional specifications and customer requirements to interface with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), NMCI, OneNet and other networks in support of Navy Warehouse Management; (3) Editing and updating desk guides, user manuals and other materials as to conduct inventory management/accuracy and training on AIT/RFID equipment and hardware/software; (4) Interpreting, analyzing and evaluating existing Information Technology (IT) policies and guidelines to make technical decisions on IT capabilities to improve Navy Logistics processes; (5) Analyzing requirements, investigating feasibility of design alternatives and developing/modifying functional analysis documents to improve warehouse inventory control processes; (6) Ensuring the application of IT security measures are in accordance with prescribed systems security methods and procedures. You will serve as senior systems analyst with team leader responsibilities for functional analysis and support in the development and/or maintenance of one or more systems or applications.
You will evaluate customer requirements and provide technical recommendations to resolve issues and problems at the site.
You will create or modify various (financial, supply, acquisition, etc.) functional or design documents.
You will ensure adequate measures are applied to information systems within the NAVSUP business areas.
You will develop and modify the critical portions of functional analysis documents and perform site surveys.
