Job Description:
You will serve as an AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the BASE SUPPORT VEHICLE & EQMT PROD LINE of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying DoD and Navy transportation equipment program guidelines to support fleet Operations and Maintenance; 2. Developing, analyzing, and implementing fleet management strategies in alignment with Executive Orders, EPACT, and directives from various Navy commands (NAVFACENGCOM, SECNAV, CNO, OPNAV, CNIC, COMPACFLT); 3. Analyzing program performance and identifying potential problems or trends requiring management attention; 4. Applying DoD and Navy transportation equipment program guidelines to conducting cost-benefit analyses for various fleet management options; and 5. Communicating program information and analysis effectively, both orally and in writing, to a diverse audience, including military and civilian personnel at all levels. You will conduct life cycle management, maintenance, and operations of transportation equipment at assigned Navy activities.
You will provide a variety of Echelon III, staff level assistance and consultant services to Navy transportation equipment providers and users.
You will coordinate and disseminate a variety of information related to vehicle and equipment, operational, maintenance and safety requirements that apply to Federal, DOD, Navy, Host Nation, Territory and State laws.
You will conduct trend analysis of activity performance data.
You will maintain and update fleet inventory information for assigned activities in Base Support Vehicle and Equipment Management Information System (BSVEMIS) and Navy Enterprise Transportation (NET) MIS on a daily basis.
