Job Description:
You will serve as a Secure Network Systems Development Specialist in the Test and Evaluation Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying comprehensive knowledge of Network Security for internet and intranet connected systems to support networks in a test and evaluation environment. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Examples of qualifying experience include: 1) Advance cybersecurity baseline certification and/or master's in network engineering in conjunction with Cisco Certified Network Professional or Expert certification. 2) Security assessment, implementation, and deployment across enterprise networks using Risk Management Framework or similar cybersecurity standards. 3) 15 years in private or government in information technology and cybersecurity with a focus in diverse networks. You will apply expertise in developing, maintaining, and providing analysis of quality of service for internet and intranet networks supporting multiple locations.
You will use Multipoint Generic Routing Encapsulation Tunnels (mGRE), Next Hop Reachability Protocol (NHRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and Cisco Enhanced Interior Routing Protocol (EIGRP).
You will use Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN) implementation across fiber and microwave transmission mediums.
You will apply networking experience covering protocols, monitoring tools, troubleshooting, access controls list, network routing protocols, encryption, and lifecycle management of intra, internet and telecommunication systems.
You will be responsible for the implementation, testing, and remediation actions required to secure information systems.
You will apply security controls, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS), and software patches.
You will manage and plan the successful execution of cybersecurity projects.
You will identify system risks and provide recommendations to achieve compliance, develop mitigation strategies, and remediation actions for identified risks.
You will coordinate programmatic activities, participate in, and provide data for collaboration meetings.
