Job Description:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing day-to-day operational support for Information Technology (IT) infrastructure; 2) Ensuring development, security, and operational testing requirements are met for assigned Information Technology (IT) systems; 3) Providing technical advice and guidance regarding the design, integration, installation, and support of state-of-the-art Information Technology (IT) systems; and 4) Monitoring systems/networks and assisting with resolving complex issues involving system/network software and hardware. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. You will be involved in the planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the systems environment in support of the organization’s IT architecture and business needs;
You will manage and operate computer systems including performing backups, software installations, hardware installations/modifications and system scanning;
You will serve as the research, development, test and evaluation expert and consultant within the Lab and Facility Operations Division in the areas of advanced classified and unclassified network architecture;
You will identify NAVAIR's technical customer base, interact with prospective test planners on a regular basis, and provide in-depth infrastructure/network data as required;
You will ensure effective and efficient maintenance and operations workflow and practices to help improve availability and performance of systems and dependent environments.
