Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing counseling, interviews, and assessments of of clients to determine any substance use risk factors and determine a specific treatment plan and program, ascertain information from family members or significant others from client as needed. Provide training programs for appropriate personnel and assist with quality improvement projects. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will provide thorough assessment, counseling, and consultation services to clients who present for care with substance use risk factors and/or disorders.
You will interview individuals and family members to explore and analyze factors influencing personality development and family structure in relation to the development of symptomatic behavior patterns and complicated interpersonal problems.
You will analyze and evaluate the information obtained and makes use of other social and medical consultation resources as required.
You will keep up-to-date on clinical supervision/training and closely related areas in the field.
You will compile statistical data of services provided for review and analysis by supervisor and assists with quality improvement projects as assigned.
