Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT OFFICER in the EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT of PRIORITY MATERIAL OFFICE (PMO). The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing a supply chain program by evaluating/analyzing comprehensive logistics data systems and processes to recommend policy and procedure changes and provide technical oversight to/direct staff in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program. You will serve as the principal civilian advisor for the command in all aspects of mission accomplishments.
You will interpret higher level Department of the Navy directives as well as major policy revisions.
You will administer a comprehensive personnel management program.
You will determine performance measures and ensures personnel have adequate training and career development opportunities.
You will provide authoritative advice and recommendations on command issues, acting for the Commanding Officer in all matters within existing broad policy guidelines.
You will review and approve budget transfers cross clamancy resulting from regional partnering.
You will serve as contact for Congressional inquiries, public relations, labor management relations, and public policy issues.
