This position is INDEFINITE NTE 24 months, with possible extension up to 60 months. MILITARY GRADES: E3 through E6 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 3P051 The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of basic laws and regulations, law enforcement operations, practices, and techniques and involved responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing visitor protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other natural resource or recreational environments; in performing criminal investigative duties; or in other work that provided the required knowledge and skills. 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level which includes experience in administrative, clerical, technical, or military work that involved protecting property, equipment, data, or materials; or that involved making judgments based on the application of directions, rules, regulations, or laws. Incumbent may full powers of apprehension and detention, which entails carrying a firearm, mirandizing suspects, preserving evidence, and testifying in court as it pertains to enforcing regulations within assigned jurisdiction.
Conducts investigations of crimes and complaints covering a wide range of subjects and allegations that are not within the scope of Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI)
Serves as the primary command and control (C2) function for all Integrated Defense forces.
Conducts Investigations/Surveillance.
Performs as Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) Controller.
Performs emergency response and incident command and control.
Performs other duties as assigned.
