Job Description:
You will serve as a either a Professional Engineer or Physicist in the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent STRL DP-03 Pay Band or equivalent GS Grade Level (GS-09/11) in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: (1) Demonstrating working knowledge of ground testing and in-service engineering for aircraft and associated weapon systems; (2) Planning, organizing, and directing test and evaluation activities in the area of Electronic Warfare (EW) employed on aircrafts and sensor systems; (3) Developing procedures that support collecting data for the analyses of combat effectiveness, survivability, and specification compliance of assigned aircraft and associated systems; (4) Providing technical expertise to stakeholders, customers, and higher authorities on aviation program policies and instructions as associated with weapons system test and evaluation subjects; and (5) Functioning as a liaison with others to ensure that aviation program needs are addressed and program goals are met. You will support customer engineering and management processes for assigned aviation program.
You will participate in various Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups in support of agency and program goals.
You will participate and/or lead engineering investment projects.
You will participate and/or coordinate pre-test meetings.
You will work within a laboratory setting encompassing a team of multiple technical disciplines.
You will deliver and support customer briefings on capabilities and test results.
You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
