About the Position: This position is a Education and Training Technician, GS-1702-09, position with the U.S. Army Cadet Command 7th Brigade Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) Located at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Gathering statistical data to determine effectiveness of training programs; Assist with inspections to improve problem areas related to the conduct of training program operations; Aid in the review of training programs to ensure compliance of regulations; Implement policies of education and training programs to meet organizational needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to the work of the position, such as Education. (Note you must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add to two percentages.
Serves as an Education and Training Specialist to the JROTC Chief for managing the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) and National Defense Cadet Corps (NDCC) within the brigade.
Provides guidance and executes the implementation of new JROTC/NDCC programs in conjunction with guidance provided by Cadet Command and Brigade Headquarters.
Disseminates mission objectives, policies, and operating procedures for Directors of Army Instruction (DAI), Senior Army Instructors (SAI), Army Instructors, (AI), and Military Property Specialists (MPS).
Assists in preparation, planning, and conduct of inspections of JROTC training programs.
