This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: the ability to lead and direct special firefighter teams (i.e. swift water rescue, confined space, and hazardous material teams) in wildland fire suppression, structural fire suppression medical aid, multi casualty incidents, transportation emergencies, hazardous material incidents, and environmental concerns. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will inspect fire apparatus, equipment, and supplies to ensure proper operation.
You will supervise rescue operations for fire engine companies.
You will coordinate team members in response with medical aid, multi-casualty incidents, transportation emergencies, hazardous material incidents and environmental concerns to maintain organization.
You will direct all personnel at major fires or related emergencies to ensure the effectiveness of firefighting operations.
