Job Description:

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for being Chief, Defense Security Cooperation Service Budget Office.
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Providing guidance, direction, and control to all organizational elements and subordinate echelons on all phases of budget formulation Explaining budget limitations, program requirements, and directives Identifying potential funding problems and recommending policy for solving them; supervising and mentoring subordinate supervisors and employees Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a SUPERVISORY BUDGET ANALYST at the GS-0560-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: DSCS Budget is responsible for the formulation and execution of budgets for global Security Cooperation Offices executed in coordination with the GCCs including payroll, operations, and sustainment including DoD, FMF, FMS, and Case managed funding Coordinates GCC budget submissions to OBO for sufficiency Supervises and directs the preparation, formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and analysis of the budget for assigned organization(s) Emphasizes and explains budget limitations, program requirements, and directives Defines areas of responsibility for the staff Directs attention to actual or potential funding problems and recommends policy for solving them
