Job Description:

This position is assigned to the Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), Grants & Agreements Division. PLEASE NOTE: This is a full time, detail/temporary promotion opportunity. Initial action will be not to exceed one year but may be terminated earlier or extended as needed in compliance with policy. The maximum appointment length may be extended up to 5 years. Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the 07/29/2025 of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined above. Time in grade: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-13 grade level for consideration for the GS-14 grade level). You must include an SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one) that supports meeting this requirement with your application package. This is a full time, detail/temporary promotion opportunity. Position may be made permanent without further competition as per agency policy Specialized Experience for the GS- 14 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience in the Grants Management field equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience that demonstrates a wide range of grant program and agreement policies and regulations, including techniques in grant development, overseeing application, award and evaluation processes sufficient to initiate inter-intra-Agency agreements, cooperative and other agreements, evaluate progress and determine consistency and compliance with program objectives. The primary duties and responsibilities are to provide support to the Branch Chief and assist with policy development, pre-award review, execution, and post award administration of Grants, Cooperative Agreements, and Cooperative Support Agreements.
Memorandum of Understanding and Agreements and Inter/Intra-agency Agreements.
The work includes a range of Federal Assistance specializations, such as negotiation, cost and price analysis, and administration.
