The Facilities Services Worker Supervisor is responsible for supervising all loading dock activities, motor vehicle operations, and facilities services. The museum proper is located in New York City (Manhattan) and the storage facility is located in Newark, NJ. In this position, you will: Serve as the supervisor for the Facilities Services staff. Duties include the following: assigning tasks; establishing deadlines; providing on-the-job training; investigating and resolving work related problems; implementing corrective actions; scheduling and approving leave; determining training needs and providing performance appraisals. Interpret provided instructions in order to communicate work status, progress and delays, both verbally and in writing. Serve as the Loading Dock Coordinator. Responsibilities include loading dock safety and management. Duties include the receiving, storing, safeguarding, shipping and ordering of supplies. Inspect motor vehicles, ensuring that they are properly serviced and operating on schedule.
