Job Description:

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Host & Compute Center Product Development & Management Office Cloud Engineering Division.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience with cloud technologies supporting models that encapsulate the full lifecycle (implementation, deployment, provisioning, software patching, securing, etc.) AND experience designing web application firewalls, content caching, and overall cybersecurity principles; along with IT-related experience demonstrating Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving as described in the vacancy announcement. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Serves as a senior IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS/INFOSEC) responsible for a broad subject matter area which may include information technology.
Provides advanced technical support and guidance to staff in matters relating to information technology (IT) issues that involve a broad range of IT management.
Performs comprehensive needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions.
Coordinates all projects, both within and outside the organization, and ensures that the project proceeds smoothly and is integrated into all other related efforts.
Incumbent functions as a primary authoritative source of information technology techniques, knowledge, and state-of-the-art government and commercial cloud technologies, including support models that encapsulate the full lifecycle.
Incumbent must keep abreast of the state-of-the-art information technology, including existing service offerings for on premise cloud, capacity services, and off premise/commercial cloud offerings.
