Job Description:

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting and coordinating programs policies, processes, and procedures related to Security Cooperation (SC) Programs.
You may qualify at the GS-11, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service: Assisting and coordinating programs policies, processes, and procedures related to Security Cooperation (SC) Programs; OR B. I possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.) You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Knowledge of management practices and principles, SC program planning, process, and execution, technology security and foreign disclosure and staffing actions; Assisting in reviewing and analyzing policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements to determine impact on local operations; Assisting in research and organize data to help aide in decision making; Performing administrative tasks as assigned You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Broad knowledge of management practices and principles, SC program planning, process, and execution, technology security and foreign disclosure and staffing actions; Interpret, review, and analyze broad policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements to determine impact on local operations; Research and organize data to help aide in decision making; Performing administrative tasks as assigned Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a WEAPONS SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-11/12/13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Responsible for identifying, implementing and evaluating best practices and procedures to identify, collect, synthesize, and analyze program policies, regulations, goals, and/or objectives related to WPNS equities. Provide technical and administrative advice to leadership on the accomplishment, coordination, and disposition of staff actions, assignments, and projects. Compiling information, assessing, and reviewing procedures and control techniques, concerning Agency programs, activities, internal operations, and organizational functions. Plans, develops, prepares and executes a variety of staffing operations to include, correspondence and other documentation, i.e., formal memorandums, point papers, metrics, feasibility studies, staff summary packages, briefings, charts, bullet background papers, protocol related activities, briefing, meetings, etc. Performing administrative functions as tasked, to include, but not all, Government Purchase Card holder, Defense Travel System, time keeping, supply management, mail distribution, in/out processing, etc. Perform other duties as assigned.
