This position is located in the Office of Human Resources where the Deputy Human Resources Officer serves as a full alter ego to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in carrying out and directing human resources strategy and operations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 or comparable pay band/equivalent. For this position, specialized experience is defined as experience directing and managing a variety of federal human resources operations for a federal organization, which has specifically included administering or managing at least three of the following HR programs: (1) Workforce Analysis and Planning, (2) Succession Planning and Competency Management, (3) Recruiting and Staffing, (4) Policy Development, (5) Benefits and Processing. The Deputy Human Resources Officer assists the CHRO in serving as a strategic partner to senior managers and overseeing the development and coordination of human capital programs. In this position you will: Provide senior level leadership, technical expertise, policy and program development, management, and oversight to human capital management. Apply Merit Promotion and Delegated Examining regulations and guidance. Apply procedures, evaluate processes, act as a troubleshooter and recommend changes for National Finance Center (NFC) and other systems. Implement development programs to grow associates at all levels of the organization. Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities.
