The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the financial subject-matter expert for a due diligence cell responsible for reviewing and evaluating all fiscal, financial management, accounting, budgeting, auditing, internal management, and conducting specialized unique financial activities necessary to ensure effective management and implementation of all these matters.
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments; and/or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of all aspects of ensuring OPSEC of worldwide sensitive air support and employment mission requirements, including fixed wing, ground refueling, air refueling, navigation, and offensive/defensive employment operations for air assets. 2. Knowledge of developing, implementing, and employing USAF deception plans while conducting training and real-world missions. 3. Knowledge of joint special operations doctrine to include domestic and overseas command relationships. 4. Knowledge of DoD and USAF policies on SAP controls and procedures, document control and accountability. 5. Ability to analyze and evaluate aircraft movements to achieve tasked objectives while ensuring mission safety and security. 6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Serve as the unit's financial management specialist responsible for providing financial subject-matter expertise for a due diligence cell. Ensures rigorous application of financial, cost, and economic analyses policies, principles, and practices to achieve organizational objectives. Reviews financial documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, plans, policies, and procedures. Plans highly complex reviews/audits covering broadly related and highly complex functions of a large mult-iĀ­mission organization.
