You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTSIT in the USW PLATFORMS & PAYLOAD INTEG DEPT, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DIVISION, APPLIED SCIENCES & STRUCTURAL MECH BR of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. FOR THE ND-05 POSTION In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer of scientist overseeing and leading projects to test and develop undersea weapon systems. You will serve as the first line supervisor of the Applied Sciences and Structural Mechanics Branch, Code 4541.
You will support efforts of the group in conjunction with appropriate Technical Project Managers
You will oversee research, development, and test and evaluation for the development of undersea weapons systems
You will manage branch operations including planning, scheduling, and facilities.
You will provide administrivia direction to include scheduling, planning and work-load prioritization.
