Job Description:
You will serve as a Engineering Technician (Electrical) in the Technical Division, Crane Procurement Section of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and developing technical engineering procedures to execute repair work including identifying deficiencies and recommending improved work control procedures for crane maintenance. You will perform duties associated with the maintenance overhaul, repair, and alteration of cranes used to support Shipyard work.
You will assist higher graded engineers or work as a team member in the design of crane electrical, structural and mechanical systems for agency cranes.
You will prepare preliminary studies, sketches, construction and record drawings from specific instructions or notes provided by the supervisor, branch engineers or shop personnel.
You will be responsible for the preparation of crane discrepancy log technical resolutions and alteration modification development.
