Job Description:
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. You will serve as Backup Single Point of Contact (BSPOC) in the Range Operations Branch (Code JXRN) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane in support of range operations at Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. Additionally, responsibilities will include project management for test and evaluation capabilities across both sites.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a comprehensive knowledge of technical engineering practices to ensure safe and efficient range operations. You will have oversight control/responsibility over multiple visitors, project leads, engineers and technicians during daily range operations.
You will have complete authority to shut down any test which is deficient due to unsafe or incorrect operations.
You will be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of a professional culture at the ranges at all times.
You will monitor daily range operations and interactions and report any incidents to the appropriate supervisor for the person(s) involved.
You will serve as Backup Single Point of Contact (BSPOC) for Camp Atterbury (CAIN) and Muscatatuck Training Center (MuTC).
You will schedule ranges for customers and communicate between CAIN, customers, and management.
You will be solely responsible for SLED track operations and take ownership of data collection, maintenance, customer satisfaction, energetic testing events, project oversite, and other tasking with track operations.
You will provide complete lifecycle testing of all testing associated with CAIN ranges and meet customer needs.
