Job Description:
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. You will serve as the Team Leader for the Receipt, Segregation, Storage and Inspection of Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) and related materials in the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department, Specialized Munitions Division, Munitions Management Branch (Code JXRV) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a comprehensive knowledge of technical engineering practices to provide technical oversight for the receipt, segregation, storage or inspection of Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) and related materials to ensure compliance with security and safety requirements. You will oversee and maintain 60 ordnance magazines for maximum space utilization ensuring compliance under all security and safety regulations.
You will be responsible for the optimum storage and flow between facilities and the security and accountability for over 24,000 line items of which over half are High Risk Arms, Ammunition and Explosives.
You will coordinate thousands of shipments and hundreds of receipts annually in addition to movements to and from production and range facilities on base as well as at Camp Atterbury and the Lake Glendora Testing Facility.
You will operate with a budget of $1,800,000 to support and maintain daily contact with over 100 local Project Engineers in the testing of ordnance for all military services as well as government activities within and outside of DoD.
