These positions are located in Big Cypress National Preserve and Everglades National Park, in the Administration Division. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-08/14/2025-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. SCREEN OUT: This position performs typing duties, and the ability to type at least 40 Words Per Minute with 3 or fewer errors based on a 5-minute typing test is required. Applicants who do not provide documentation of meeting this requirement in their application package will receive no further consideration for these positions. - AND - To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: (1) Using various word processing and spreadsheet software to create documents and spreadsheets; (2) Purchase supplies and equipment; (3) Preparing travel vouchers and advising on travel regulations and procedures; (4) Budget related duties including tracking budget and financial data; and (5) Preparing and reviewing correspondence and/or reports requiring prescribed formats, proper grammar and spelling. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies. These are seasonal (temporary) positions which will last 6 months (1039 hours) or less. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for these locations is October - March, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: October 5, 2025. Duties: Provides accurate and reliable administrative functions for the unit. Demonstrates excellent communications skills. Works and communicates effectively with managers, supervisors, team members, coworkers, partners, and visitors to achieve goals. Prioritizes work assignments and deals with unforeseen interruptions. Serves as a contact and advisor on matters relating to human resources administration and timekeeping for the unit. Serves as timekeeper and tracks payroll. Assists with human resources tasks associated with the unit. Prepares formal and informal correspondence. Skilled in typing, word processing, email, spreadsheets, managing database, and travel programs. Reconciles and reallocates funds, completes and tracks credit card purchases and property. Serves as advisor on procedures for procurement, tracks unit acquisitions and prepares purchase requests.
