You will serve as a MANAGER in the Weapons Systems Division (JXN) or Maneuver, Surveillance, & Engagement Systems Division (JXW) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $161,889).
In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist, leading the planning and execution of engineering projects, programs or initiatives by managing project resources to ensure mission objective are met. You will serve as the Deputy Division Manager for the Weapons Systems Division or the Maneuver, Surveillance and Engagement Division.
You will oversee execution of projects and initiatives within the Division, providing leadership on the development, implementation, and sustainment of projects and strategies.
You will manage customer relations, lead programmatic discussions, and brief capabilities to strategic customers.
You will provide oversight and guidance on the approach for reviewing the division's key projects via execution reviews and metrics for cost, quality, risk management and schedule monitoring.
You will coordinate technical cross organizational efforts internally and externally, to include internal division, departments and external program offices and/or supported agencies.
