Standard Qualifications: Applicant must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which employed for the type of vehicle(s) to be driven. Must have 15 months of acceptable work experience operating a vehicle having the capacity and gear ratios of the type(s) of vehicles which he/she may be required to operate. Highly Qualified: Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience. Must be willing to participate in customer service trainings. Applicable Experience MUST be reflected on your Resume, and Licenses must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered for Standard and/or Highly Qualified for this position. Applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred first to the Selecting Official. All other applicants may be referred for consideration at managements request.
Drives various types of motor vehicles including, passenger and cargo vans.
Use various Motor Vehicles Weighing from 10,000 to 26,000 pounds to transport personnel, supplies, and materials throughout the installation, public roads, and city streets in all types of traffic conditions.
Assists with loading and unloading cargo and materials. Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity by checking cargo papers and by visual observation.
Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Transports large groups of people on trips where day and night driving are involved. Ensures safe travel of passengers. Performs other duties as assigned.
