About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Afterburner Entertainment Venue at Sheppard AFB, TX. Subject must be able to work rotating shifts and uncommon tour of duty.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, procedures and gaming equipment. Ability to resolve common mathematical problems and make changes when receiving payments from customers. The ability to demonstrate experience or knowledge provides a general procedure followed in leisure, recreational and group programs. Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; recurring activities such as bending and stooping; pushing and pulling carts; and lifting. Must possess skill in dealing with the public and have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to work rotating shifts and uncommon tour of duty. Subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check (Tier 1). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Assists with day-to-day operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Monitors activities within facilities and assists in maintaining order. Oversees arcade equipment by checking equipment is working properly. Assists with set-up and breakdown of equipment for events and activities. Assists with group activities within several different facilities. Answers questions pertaining to events, programs, classes and activities. Checks out equipment to customers and verifies condition of equipment upon return. Performs minor maintenance and proper cleaning of equipment and facilities. Assist customers in all aspects of the Afterburner business to include locating the required information and registering for tournaments. Assist with a variety of tournaments including Axe Throwing and Laser Tag tournaments. Refer visitors to the appropriate staff member. Collects fees and issues play cards. Documents and/or reports equipment, facility and program problems and issues to the Supervisor. Completes appropriate administrative documents. May be required to open and close facilities. Performs closing duties such as cleaning, mopping, wiping down arcade equipment, shutting down arcade equipment. Cleans tables, chairs and arcade equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
