This GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST position, is located in the Operations Compliance Function, Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), Mission Support Group, at an ANG Aviation Wing and is part of the CA 146 AW.
General Experience: Possess experience, education or training involving administration of supply management, storage, cataloging, packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; Experience using computer and automation systems. GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-9: Must have at least 24 months of experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management; Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2001-9, is to provide centralized oversight of critical squadron programs. Measures LRS processes through inventory analysis, surveillance, trends and standards, develops and writes local policy/procedures and performs over the shoulder inspections. Also responsible for all funds management functions including satellite stock fund management in support of unit mission. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
