Job Description:

You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Rapid Prototyping and Fabrication Technology Division of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade pay band ND-04 (GS-12 through GS-13 equivalency), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer coordinating rapid prototyping design and fabrication in support of the development, sustainment, or in-service engineering of a warfare system. You will be responsible for senior-level decisions regarding reviews, designs, plans, and specifications for policies and procedures that will ensure effective and efficient project management.
You will be responsible for planning, technical direction, assigning priorities and work to engineers and coordinating of all aspects of design/technical engineering efforts.
You will apply expert knowledge of systems engineering, reverse engineering, re-design and fabrication technologies.
You will coordinate, manage, and track to resolution product quality deficiency reports and fabrication procedure changes, to include problem resolution, requests for variance, and other deficiency reports.
You will analyze and evaluate integration of new and old systems, reliability, maintainability, and availability data to verify technical accuracy and adequacy of design and support decisions.
