Job Description:
Who may apply: Current permanent DFAS employees in the competitive service, eligible DoD PPP Military Spouse preference applicants, and current DFAS VRA employees.
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as: Transforms complex data from multiple sources into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions on resource allocation, cost management, and operational improvements. Collaborates with senior leadership to define reporting needs and advance organizational efficiency initiatives. Provides analytical expertise to support enterprise-wide efficiency studies and strategic initiative. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-13 applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher in the Federal service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Collects, analyzes, and integrates data from multiple data sources to support substantive recommendations regarding improvement opportunities, cost drivers, business impacts, and resource allocation decisions.
Applies analytical skills, judgment, and discretion to the creation, testing, and reporting of new metrics.
Serves as a planner, analyst, and advisor to management on program cost analysis annual/multi-year and long-range fiscal/program planning and/or or commercial issues for key operations/organizational programs.
Directs/conducts cost comparison/benefit studies of current or projected programs; develops life cycle cost analyses of projects.
