THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2524P01 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization. THIS POSITION IS A DUAL BID WITH JOA# TN-12778840-AR-T525-028, INTERNAL TO THE AGENCY. ONLY 1 SELECTION WILL BE MADE.
Military Grades: E-5 through O-4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience that includes managing, supervising, leading, administering, developing, delivering, and supporting information technology (IT) systems and services; experience or knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods, e.g., data storage, software applications, networking. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months or 1-year at the next lower grade of specialized experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment; experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.
As an IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), GS-2210-11, you will conduct audits of information systems compliance, to include network devices; servers; and end user devices, related to security standards, guides and application updates to enable and ensure accreditation of all systems IAW with all command, Army, and DOD security directives, policies and procedures. Review Army Training and Certification Tracking System, approves new user accounts, and conducts ongoing audits to ensure all privileged and user accounts comply with Army Standards. Conduct investigation of security incidents, reports findings to leadership and remediates findings based on guidance from the cybersecurity service provider and IAW with all command, Army, and DOD security directives, policies and procedures to include: computer viruses and sanitation of highly classified information from organization. Review submissions to Change Configuration Board, or other bodies proposing changes, to network or information systems and applications and makes recommendations to senior cybersecurity team lead. Maintain an operational knowledge base of past, current and possible future threats to the security posture by attending courses, conferences, seminars, online research, and information sharing between other Cybersecurity/Information Assurance professionals. Perform other duties as assigned.
