About the Position: This is a Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-13 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Real Estate Division. This postion serves as Section Chief responsible for the overall planning, directing, coordinating, training, reviewing, scheduling, budgeting and supervising the management and disposal, acquisition and leasing activities of their assigned branch.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience applying a wide range of real estate laws, principles, concepts, policies, regulations, authorities, methods, and practices; OR 2) Negotiating complex real estate agreements that are politically sensitive in nature; OR 3) Performing the acquisition of real estate by either lease or direct purchase for use by the government. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Negotiation Organizational Performance Analysis Real Estate Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Serve as Section Chief responsible for the overall planning, directing, coordinating, training, reviewing, scheduling, budgeting and supervising the management and disposal, acquisition and leasing activities of their assigned branch.
Responsible and accountable for all real estate portfolio management and disposal, acquisition and leasing functions.
Serve as a key member of the Real Estate Division budgeting team, providing past and projected workload for budget and execution planning and developing P2 worksheets for all programmatic functions.
Provide policy and regulatory guidance of real estate activities concerning all types of outgrants, in leases, acquisitions and all other inquiries concerning such matters.
Represent the agency in discussions, deliberations, negotiations, and completion of highly complex actions and/or sensitive situations involving the management and disposal, acquisitions and leasing of interests in real property.
