Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (NUCLEAR) in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing the planning and estimating of activities to support the maintenance and repair of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants and associated support facilities through the allocation and utilization of workforce resources (i.e., manning, equipment, supplies, space, training), to ensure production and radiological control requirements for ship overhaul projects are met. You will serve as the Estimating Section Supervisor of the Nuclear Planning and Estimating Branch.
You will direct, assign, schedule, and prioritize work that include the initiating of material procurement, estimating costs of accomplishing work, and preparing and issuing job specifications to production, engineering, and inspection teams.
You will develop goals and objectives that are assigned to subordinates based on priorities and considering the experience required and capabilities of the assigned employee.
You will provide or establish metrics and analysis systems to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points.
You will identify and implement process improvements to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers in test processes and increase the quality of products delivered.
You will perform detailed reviews of all planning and estimating products and actions that ensure they are consistent with all corporate, shipyard, department, and project established funding/tasking policies and strategies.
