What are we looking for? A minimum of three years' experience in a Fitness related field. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of the position (preferred). OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above. OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred. Based on program operations the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire a nationally recognized certification for, Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) or equivalent, Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or equivalent, Lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent, Standard First Aid or equivalent. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age.
What to Expect: Assists with the planning, administration, and managing of daily operations and programs at the Fitness Center, to include a comprehensive aquatics program. Coordinates and schedules installation activities, special events, and joint community undertakings. (Seasonal) Plans, develops, administers and maintains a comprehensive aquatics program. Teaches children and adult swimming lessons where applicable. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Must have a current driver's license. Performs other related duties as assigned.
