Job Description:
This position is located in Management Directorate, Office of Administration, Logistics Management Division, Field Asset Management Branch. As an Logistics Management Specialist, you will manage, analyze, and implement logistics management programs, provide expert, technical advice and training to customers, and manage technical logistics systems.
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/20/2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/20/2025. THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT NOT TO EXCEED (1) ONE YEAR BUT MAY BE EXTENDED FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR UP TO A TOTAL OF FIVE (5) YEARS. THE SELECTEE(S) MAY BE CONVERTED WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION, IF THE POSITION BECOMES PERMANENT. You must have experience performing the following duties: Managing a property center's accountable personal property book. Conducting in-depth analysis of data and manipulating it into presentation form. Presenting informational material and training to a broad base. Provides day-to-day customer service and support to all agency property centers.
Develops, implements, and communicates property related training, policies, reports, and programs.
Provides technical expertise and guidance for the agency property management system of record.
Develops, implements, and monitors the management information systems that directly support property centers.
Provides direct, expert level support via site visits and scheduled or ad-hoc training to ensure successful implementation and management of the program's policies and guidance.
Provides corrective action for property management staff based on internal control findings and site visit results
Identifies and communicates best practices to improve program efficiency.
Works independently as a program manager or liaison for one or many of the branch's property programs.
