Job Description:

You will serve as a Technician in the COMBAT SYSTEMS INTEGRATION, TEST AND EVALUATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering theory, principles, and practices to plan, execute, analyze data, and report on the installation of shipboard combat systems for a warfare program. You will serve as an Engineering Technician and Alteration and Installation Team Lead in the Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS) Division, Test and Evaluation Department.
You will lead the SDTS Installation Team including multiple government agencies and contractors.
You will coordinate and deconflict system installation and removals for program use of the SDTS.
You will be responsible for planning, budget and funding, contract establishment, execution, data analysis, and reporting of system installations or removals under a compressed test schedule.
You will lead various meetings and reviews including production meetings, status reviews, test schedule meetings, pre-sail briefs, etc.
You will lead on-site installation coordinators (OSICs) and ensure customer and sponsor satisfaction through completion of installations and removal of systems, on time and on budget with emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.
