Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing facilities management and maintenance operations; overseeing facilities' budget and financial responsibilities; and preparing policies, plans, and directives, and performing inspections for potential security problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Contract Management/Support Financial Management Program/Project Management Safety, Security, and Fire Protection Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-9).
Coordinates the development and accomplishment of studies, such as physical site and structure layout.
Conducts space requirement and utilization surveys.
Manages and oversees project planning; determines site requirements; ensures adherence to planned resource allocation.
Evaluates, develops and recommends course of action on decisions involving changes or alterations to facilities and their utilization.
Develops drafts estimates for work orders pertaining to maintenance, repair, modification, and installation of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and assets.
Performs, inspects, and ensures adherence to guidelines in relation to repairs and janitorial services within the buildings and grounds.
Serves as the JPC Government Purchase Card Program Manager, ensuring Cardholders adhere to the program rules and guidelines.
Verifies receipt/acceptance of goods or services and maintains receipts and other supporting documentation to provide to the Billing Official monthly.
