This SECURITY OFFICER position, is located in the Mission Support Group, Security Forces Squadron (SFS) and is part of the CA 144 FW.
General Experience: Possess experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; ability to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material; ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats; demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures; learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. SECURITY OFFICER, GS-0080-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, in: enforcing federal and assimilated state criminal and traffic laws, applicable regulations and administrative policies; experience in performing analytical and evaluative duties related to the business of security; experience directing installation measures needed to protect against internal and external threats of terrorism. THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION. The primary purpose of the SECURITY OFFICER, GS-0080-12, is to be the principal advisor to the Wing Commander as the Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) and report to the Mission Support Group Commander as the Defense Force Commander (DFC) with responsibility over the SFS; develops, implements, and manages the wing law enforcement, physical security, wing security, and Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) programs. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
